Restore the Corporate Practice of Medicine Doctrine
Take Medicine Back was originally founded by emergency physicians as "Take EM Back" in April, 2021. Shortly thereafter, Take EM Back incorporated as a public benefit LLC as "Take Medicine Back" to be inclusive of the entire profession of medicine. Take Medicine Back was inspired by the values of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM), which was founded in 1993 after a recognition that emergency physicians were becoming exploited commoddities - at first by other emergency physicians, and then by lay-corporations.
